A Paramount poet, prolific writer, accomplished musical composer, lover of nature and men architect of Shantineketan school,  founder of Viswabharati University philosopher  –all rolled into one is Viswakabi ,kabindra –Rabindra Nath Tagore.

Contribution Toward Art  Education

 Music and artwork-

Tagore was an excellent Musicians and painter. He wrote 2,232 songs. People called these songs as “Rabindra Sangeet” or “Tagore Song”. These songs are now a present day culture of Bengali People

 

Theatre:

 Valmiki Pratibha(The Genius of Valmiki ) the first Opera Drama. He talked in it about Spiritual elevation of Thug Ratnakara into Sage Valmiki

Stories

Tagore’s three volumes Galpaguchha comprise eighty four stories that reflect upon surroundings on modern and fashionable ideas.

Anthems

Tagore is the only person to have written anthems for three countries

The national anthem of India was one of the works By Tagore.

Amar Shonar Bangla, the national Anthem of Bangladesh, was written by Tagore

SriLanka Matha, the national Anthem of SriLanka, was written by Rabindra Nath Tagore

For Development of Art Education :

The different institutions developed in Bolepur (Shantiniketan Ashram)

Among which Kala Bhaban(college of Fine Arts And Crafts),

Sangeet Bhaban(College of Music and Dance),Silpa sadan(College of Industrial Training) fosters art education.
